And the Network SF Boom Continues to Fizzle Out . . .

NBC's Knight Rider bit the dust last month, to no one's surprise. ABC's Life on Mars has since followed. The question now isn't so much if these cancellations will be followed by others, but exactly which ones, and when they will come.

It was all too predictable, I suppose, given the economics of the business I have touched on here earlier. (Ten million viewers is the minimum if you want a future in prime time on a major network, and despite the size of the American market, this is awfully hard to get.)
