In today's, post-Oscars edition:
* John Anderson, on last week's Academy Awards ceremony, which led him to ask the question "Are the Oscars Stuck in the Past?"
* From Variety, a new story that seems to me to offer an emphatic "Yes" to Anderson's question, if not where the Academy's concerned, then at least where Hollywood more generally is concerned, namely the most recent project for which Scarlett Johansson has signed up: Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho (the title of which is quite literally what the film is about).
* And since I've brought up the subject, here's a full list of the winners and nominees. Where science fiction and fantasy are concerned, the most notable would be Hugo's wins in five technical categories - visual effects, art direction, cinematography, and sound editing and mixing – and Rango's win for best animated feature.
