New and Noteworthy (James Bond Edition)

In today's Bond-themed edition:

* Random House has just made a deal to republish the original James Bond novels by Ian Fleming.

* It seems that the updating of James Bond continues, with the latest story having 007 ditching the dry martinis in favor of beer - Heineken, to be exact.

* And finally – and perhaps most indicative of how far the commemoration is going – is Hollywood Reporter story about Danny Boyle and Daniel Craig filming an introductory short film for the summer Olympics in which Bond is assigned to launch the opening ceremony of this year's London-set event.
