As previously noted here, Skyfall earned almost $88 million from Friday to Sunday at the U.S. box office. Counting in the $2 million taken during the early Thursday viewings, this brings the total up to $90 million.
Gitesh Pandya of the Box Office Guru (among the more conservative earlier, having predicted a $76 million haul for the film during the three-day period) now regards the "global gross [as] on course to pass $900M," and suggests that Skyfall "may just become the first billion-dollar Bond."
The film's performance over the next two weekends, particularly in the U.S., will decide that question.
